According to the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash on eastbound I-69, east of Lake Pleasant Road, after receiving reports that a semi-tractor had entered the median and overturned.
Investigators identified the driver as Tyler Zellar, who was operating a 1998 Ford Sterling LT9500 semi-tractor hauling a trailer loaded with large boulders. The load had reportedly been collected from a job site in Lapeer and was being transported to Columbus, Michigan.
