Owen T. Ligammari, 19, of Adams, New York, died on October 30, 2026, following a serious single-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 in the Town of Hastings, Oswego County.
According to New York State Police, the accident occurred at approximately 4:28 a.m. near mile marker 112 on the southbound side of the interstate.
Owen was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pickup truck when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the median. As he attempted to regain control, the truck overturned multiple times, ejecting him from the vehicle.
Emergency responders transported Owen to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where he was pronounced deceased.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by New York State Police. No final determination about the circumstances that led to the vehicle leaving the roadway has been provided.
