The family, friends, and community of Caribou County, Idaho, are mourning the tragic passing of 23-year-old Logan Corta, who died Thursday following an accidental electrocution while working on a farm.
According to information shared by authorities and his family, emergency responders were called to an incident near River Road and Smith Road, south of Grace, at approximately 12:20 p.m. Personnel from Caribou County EMS, the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office, and Idaho State Police responded. Corta was found with severe injuries caused by electrocution and transported by ambulance to Caribou Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Logan leaves behind his wife, Maniah, and a grieving family whose loss is difficult to put into words. Loved ones remember him as a devoted husband, a hardworking cowboy, and a person whose generosity and willingness to help others made a lasting impression.
Described as a cowboy, athlete, and scholar, Logan found happiness in the outdoors and felt most at home in the saddle and open country. He was admired for his humor, sharp wit, steady hands, and strong work ethic. His loved ones also remember his Christian faith, honesty, determination, and quiet kindness. He was someone who offered help without expecting anything in return and made others feel welcome.
We extend our deepest condolences to Maniah, the Corta family, friends, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss. May they find strength in one another and comfort in the memories of the life Logan lived. His passion for cowboy life, generous spirit, and ability to bring laughter to difficult moments will remain cherished by those who knew him.
A fundraiser has been established to support Maniah and the family as they navigate this difficult period.
